Mission: Strengthening community through creative partnerships

Community Partnerships (RC&D), Inc. is a locally led non-profit dedicated to improving quality of life in rural Pennsylvania

Wild Geese: Flock Together

The Wild Geese: Flock Together public art project has been brought to life through the efforts of an entire community. Artists, sponsors, volunteers, project partners, and the community at large have banded together to recognize our unique local tradition of Goose Day through the talent of local artists. The brochure and map can be found here.

Arts and Culture

Community Partnerships RC&D's cultural programs include being the local regional partner for the PA Partners in the Arts program; serving as a regional support center and documenting traditions for Folk Art PA; and being a catalyst and supporter of a number of exciting and innovative arts initiatives in the region.

Testimonials

“Community Partnerships has done a wonderful job finding themes, instructors, activities, and field trips that provide students with opportunities they would not have been exposed to otherwise. The students are very engaged and excited about the new things they are learning. The resources that Community Partnerships have, both in this community and beyond, greatly enhanced our annual summer camp and provided a level of education that far exceeds that of a typical summer camp. It has been a truly successful partnership that has resulted in a high-quality program.”

— Shelby Liebegott, Program Coordinator, Tuscarora Intermediate Unit #11

“The arts are critical to strengthening the cultural, educational, and economic vitality of our communities. Public art projects like Wild Geese helps add to the image and identity of Mifflin County and the Juniata Valley, offering ways for community members to have a sense of belonging and connection to their place. Wild Geese is a great celebration of local artists and shows their important contributions to quality of place.”

— Karl Blischke, Executive Director, Pennsylvania Council of the Arts
